Fees on Tentary
Note on pricing: The Start / Grow / Scale tariffs apply to newly purchased monthly plans. Existing customers who started their monthly plan before 11 February 2026 will automatically remain on their legacy plan. It is possible to voluntarily switch to a new plan.
Free Usage
Creating an account on Tentary is completely free. This allows you to explore our platform at your own pace and fully set up your shop without any cost.
Monthly Fee
Only when you activate your shop and want to publish products do you select a monthly plan. The monthly base fee depends on the plan you choose: Start (€10 net), Grow (€29 net), or Scale (€99 net). From this point on, you can use Tentary to its full extent.
Transaction Fees
When you sell a product or service using Tentary, we charge a transaction fee ranging from 0.9% to 2.9% of the sale price. This will be automatically charged at the end of the current billing period.
The transaction fee depends on the plan you choose: Start 2.9%, Grow 1.9%, Scale 0.9%.
Applies only to the Legacy plan: The transaction fee is based on your total sales generated through Tentary. You start with a 2.9% transaction fee. From €100,000 in sales, this drops to 1.9%, and from €1 million in sales, it drops to 0.9%. After each successful transaction, we check whether you fall into a new fee tier. If this is the case, we automatically adjust your fees. In this case, you will also receive a notification by email. You can check your current fee tier in your account settings.

What Are Payment Service Providers?
To enable your customers to pay using various payment methods, we partner with PayPal, Stripe, and Mollie.
At least one of these payment providers must be linked to your Tentary account before you can publish a product and accept payments. These providers handle the transaction process and ensure your earnings are credited to your connected PayPal, Stripe, or Mollie account.
Who Receives the Payment Processing Fee?
PayPal, Stripe, and Mollie charge a payment processing fee for handling transactions.
Important: When setting up your Tentary account, you will be guided through configuring your payment methods. If you already have a PayPal account, you can link it to Tentary. For Stripe and Mollie, a new account must be created during the linking process unless you have previously linked Stripe to another Tentary account or wish to restore a connection that already has been made with your Tentary Account.
Overview of Payment Processing Fees
The fees depend on the payment provider and the selected payment method.
Processing fees start at 1.5% + €0.25. Here are some examples:

- Credit Card Payment: 1.5% + €0.25
- Non-EU Credit Card: 3.25% + €0.25

What Does This Mean in Practice?
Registering your Tentary account and setting up your shop is free.
As soon as you activate your shop and make it accessible to the public and can use all of our features, a monthly base fee is payable depending on the plan you have chosen.
When a customer purchases a product or service, Tentary charges a transaction fee based on the product price and your fee tier.
Additionally, the payment provider deducts a processing fee depending on the chosen payment method.
Example Calculation
The monthly base fee (starting at €10 net) is independent of sales.
If you sell a product, your income is calculated as follows:
Sale price of your product: €10.00 (gross)
Tentary transaction fee: €0.29 (net, based on a 2.9% fee tier)
Payment processing fee: €0.40 (via Stripe, credit card payment at 1.5% + €0.25)
Your earnings: €9.31
Debt Collection Service Fees
Using Tentary’s debt collection service incurs no additional costs for you. However, during the process, third-party costs (e.g., court fees) may arise. These steps are only initiated after consultation with you. For more details on our debt collection service, click here.
Fees for Refunds
If you cancel a sale, the Tentary transaction fee cannot be refunded. The Stripe payment processing fee will also not be refunded. With PayPal, you will be refunded the variable fees for the original payment processing, but not the fixed fee of currently €0.39. Mollie charges a fee of €0.25 for a refund.
We do not charge any fees for chargebacks. However, a fee will be charged by the payment service provider. You can find the details here.

How is the transaction fee calculated if the purchase price is reduced by a voucher?
The transaction fee is always based on the final sale price.
Is there a transaction fee for free products?
No, in this case there is no transaction fee.
What transaction fee applies to me?
The transaction fee depends on the plan (Start 2.9%, Grow 1.9%, Scale 0.9%).
Can I switch from the legacy plan to the new plans? (Legacy Plan)
Yes, the switch is voluntary. Existing customers retain their legacy plan as long as they do not switch. It is not possible to switch back once you have selected one of the new plans
How is the total revenue for fee classification calculated? (Legacy Plan)
Total revenue is calculated as all revenue since your account was created, minus refunds. Revenue is not recalculated annually, but rather since your account was created.
Can I fall back in the fee classification? (Legacy Plan)
No, because we do not recalculate revenue every year, but count the actual “lifetime” revenue. Your fees can only decrease over time.
Do I need a monthly plan to participate in an affiliate program?
No, you don't need your own monthly plan to participate in an affiliate program of other Tentary users. You can sign up for a free account with Tentary, search the affiliate marketplace for affiliate programs, and generate partner links.
Only when you want to create your own shop will you need your own monthly plan.
