How the Linking Works
- Open the page for configuring the PayPal payment method in your Tentary account.
- Click on the Connect button to start the process.
- A new PayPal window will open where you can enter your email address and the country of your PayPal account. Once you confirm your entry, PayPal will check whether a PayPal account already exists with this email address.
If this is not the case, you can register a new account with your email address in this step. Otherwise, log in to your existing account. - Optional: If a PayPal account already exists with this email address, but it is not a business account, you can upgrade your account or create a new business account in the following window.
- In the next step, you confirm that we may receive payments on your behalf and make refunds (for payments previously made via Tentary).
- Once you click Agree and Connect, you will see a short confirmation of your link and the Back to Tentary button to close the PayPal window. After a moment, your Tentary page will refresh and your linked account will be displayed.
- The configuration of PayPal as a payment method is now complete, and your customers can use PayPal as a payment method for your products.
Your Earnings
To view your earnings in your PayPal account, log in here and go to Activities > All Transactions. There you will find an overview of all your sales that were paid for using PayPal.

I have not received a verification email from PayPal.
If you have not received an email from PayPal to verify your account, you can request this email again from PayPal. This is how it works.
I can't connect my Tentary account with my PayPal account.
There is currently no PayPal account connected to your Tentary account. If during the connection procedure, the “Back to Tentary” button is not working, try using a different browser. We have received feedback from several customers that the PayPal button does not work properly in every browser.

By linking your Tentary account to your PayPal account, we receive authorization to accept payments and process refunds on your behalf (for payments processed through the Tentary platform only, of course).
Do I need a PayPal Business Account?
Yes, a PayPal Business Account is usually required. When you click the "Connect" button and log in to your existing PayPal account, PayPal will automatically check if your account meets the required criteria. If necessary, PayPal offers you to upgrade your private account to a business account or to open a new business account.
