You’ve activated Klarna for your shop, but it’s not showing up for you or your customers? In this article, we explain what might be causing this and what special conditions you need to consider when using Klarna.
Important: As long as Klarna is activated for your Stripe or Mollie account and also activated in your Tentary account, it will automatically be displayed whenever a payment with Klarna is technically possible.
For Private Customers Only (B2C)
Klarna only supports transactions with private end customers – not with businesses, charities, political organizations, parties, or initiatives.
This means that your customers must place their order as private individuals to use Klarna as a payment method.
Currency / Countries
Klarna is only shown in certain combinations of the buyer’s currency and country of origin. As a general rule, Klarna can only be offered if the buyer’s country’s currency matches the seller’s country’s currency.
For example, if you’re based in Germany and selling a product in euros, only customers from countries that also use the euro can use Klarna.
As a special case, all sellers from the EEA (including Switzerland and the UK) may offer Klarna to any customer within the EEA, if the sale is conducted in the buyer’s local currency.
