You can assign both a company name and a display name in your account and adjust them at any time. In this article, we'll show you how to do this and explain the different use cases for these two names.

Company Name and Display Name in Your Account
To set or change your company name and/or display name, open your Account Settings and click on Edit Billing Address in the Billing Address & Taxes section.
In the topmost field, you can enter or correct your company name.
Note: If you operate your Tentary shop as a sole proprietor, enter your first and last name here.
In the fourth field from the top, you can enter or adjust your display name.
Don’t forget to confirm your changes by clicking the Save Changes button.
Usage
The two names are used in different areas.
Note: If you do not enter a display name, your company name will automatically be used instead.
Company Name
Your company name is displayed in all legally relevant areas. These include all invoices issued in connection with our platform where you are listed as either the sender or the recipient. It is also shown on your contact page and, if you are based in the DACH region and use our templates, on legally required pages such as the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Imprint. Additionally, on your payment page, your company name is displayed in the confirmation of a chargeable order under the context »Sold by Company Name«.
Display Name
This is a freely chosen name you use to communicate with your customers.
Your display name is used as the sender in your emails and in messages to your customers. It also appears in your shop on the product page, within the product name context, as »by Display Name«.
