What is a landing page?
A landing page is a specially designed standalone web page. Visitors arrive there after clicking an ad, opening a link, or tapping a button in an email.
The goal of a landing page is to guide users toward a specific action, such as making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or requesting a freebie. Unlike a regular website, a landing page is fully focused on this single goal. It directs attention, reduces distractions, and communicates a clear message. This turns your traffic into targeted conversions.
What can I use a landing page for?
With a landing page, you can for example:
- introduce a new product and offer it for sale
- promote a limited-time campaign or sale
- set up a pre-launch page for upcoming projects
- promote a freebie
What is the Landing Page Builder and how does it work?
The Landing Page Builder is a versatile tool in your Tentary account with a clear and intuitive interface that lets you create landing pages quickly and easily. You decide whether to start with one of the available templates or build your landing page completely from scratch.
At the top of the screen (1), you can open your landing page — if it’s already live — in a separate window. Click the arrow next to Landingpage. The desktop and smartphone icons, as well as the two-sided arrow, let you choose how your live preview is displayed.
With the Forward and Back arrows, you can undo or redo changes. Use the Save button to apply your current changes.
The Landing Page Builder itself (2) is divided into three sections, displayed on the left: the Editor, the Design tab, and the Settings.
Editor
The integrated editor allows you to customize your landing page using individual elements. You can add as many elements as you like — such as headings, text, images, or videos — adjust them with a single click, and use drag-and-drop to place them wherever you want. You’ll see your updates instantly in the live preview. This allows you to immediately assess how your landing page will look and adjust it whenever needed.
Design
Under Design, you can define your branding. This ensures that the appearance of your landing page — its basic layout, fonts, colors, and buttons — stays consistent, without you needing to configure each element individually.
Settings
In the Settings, you can publish your page, set the title, description, and preview image for search engines, and optionally add your own code (HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
If you want to get started right away, you can find a step-by-step guide here: Create, Design, and Publish a Landing Page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need programming knowledge to build a landing page?
No, the Landing Page Builder is designed so that you can set up, design, and configure everything with clicks and drag-and-drop. No programming knowledge is required.
Can I customize the link of my landing page?
Yes, that’s possible. In the Settings tab under Publish, you’ll find the URL field. There you can set a custom address or name for your landing page. The link always begins with your shop’s domain, shown above the URL field. The path name — the part you can customize — comes after it.
Example: Your shop URL is myshop.tentary.com and you choose the path summer-sale, then the full link to your landing page would be myshop.tentary.com/summer-sale.
How many landing pages can I create?
You can create as many landing pages as you like.
