Are you using Facebook or Instagram Ads and want to track the effectiveness of your ads in connection with your Tentary shop? In this article, we explain what the Meta Pixel is and how you can use it for your shop.
Meta Pixel
The Meta Pixel allows you to track visitor activity in your Tentary shop that results from your Facebook or Instagram ads. The Meta Pixel uses cookies to identify your shop visitors and display them in the Facebook Ads Manager. This provides you with a data foundation to measure, analyze, and optimize your shop’s conversion rate and the success of your ad campaigns.
The Pixel can detect the devices your visitors use and track the following events in your Tentary shop:
- PageView: When a page of your shop is accessed.
- InitiateCheckout: When the checkout page of a product in your shop is accessed.
- Purchase: When a (free or paid) purchase is made, or the payment process is successfully completed.
For more information about the Meta Pixel, visit Meta’s official page.
Adding the Meta Pixel
You can add your Meta Pixel ID under Shop > Tracking by entering your ID in the designated field and clicking Save.
Note: To use the Meta Pixel, you need to verify your domain with Facebook. This means you must use a custom domain for your Tentary shop and confirm it via a DNS TXT record.
Meta Pixel Helper
Meta provides a tool to check if your Pixel is working correctly. It also helps identify potential errors and improve Pixel performance. For more information about the Meta Pixel Helper, visit Meta’s support page.
